AI Course Limits & Disclaimers

In addition to the standard Terms & Conditions, the following limitations and disclaimers apply to the AI specific courses teaching the Pix’d AI effects.

Limitations

AI, like anything else, is not without limitations. So, what are some things you need to know before you dive headfirst into this exciting new technology?

• For starters, AI is unpredictable! While the images I showed are quite spectacular (and were generated 100% automatically), there are occasionally unexpected results (when doing image stylization with Pix’d 1.0). Since every image is uniquely interpreted and processed, results can vary. Gender, skin tones, lighting, and virtually any other factors can impact your output. Even running the same photo over and over will generate slightly different results each time. However, if you are taking higher-quality pictures with the right lighting in your booth and learn the intricacies of ‘posing guests’ for photos, as well as testing out various options ahead of time, you’ll be able to get the best possible results. When it comes to Faceswaps (Pix’d 2.0), you’ll have much more control over your final outputs as you create the image entirely using AI, then AI just changes the face.
• Also, I can’t make any claims whatsoever for the images generated, any possible copyright infringements, or commercial availability/use of your outputs. AI is still super new, and somewhat uncharted territory. There’s a lot still up in the air, and no one really has a clear picture of what that means for the future of AI.
• You’ll need an internet connection for this to work. It doesn’t need to be crazy fast or anything, but your photo will be uploaded, processed online, then downloaded back to your computer (if sharing/printing locally).
• When it comes to commercial use, I can’t guarantee any licenses or use policies, but most things with AI are operated under a Fair Use Policy or Open Creative License.

Disclaimers

• If the limitations above haven’t turned you away, then read on! As mentioned, I can’t make any claims for any of the images generated, and I also can’t claim you’ll get specific results, or that you’ll get them in any length of time. While I will show you how I generated my print-ready images within under 2-minutes, there’s no guarantee this will always be the case. There are simply too many factors outside of your control. If you increase the complexity of the image, or if there are even potential delays in the AI server, this could all result in delayed image processing.
• While I will show you how to create this effect, and some of the basics to troubleshoot issues, I am not providing a warranty or ongoing support for your live events. So, make sure to plan accordingly and test things out before you attempt to go-live and avoid setting any false expectations for your clients.
• None of these processes are software dependent or photo booth software specific, they just require internet. But I will show you how to automate your workflow, so you can get AI edited images live at your event from your photo booth and share or print them using virtually any sharing-kiosk solution.
• Obviously, I can’t make any promises as to how much you will make, or that you will even be able to sell this to your clients. Though, I’m fairly certain there is plenty of opportunity and this is a premium service that you should charge a premium for. Having the right “ingredients” is just one key to your potential success.
